Swimming Pool Roof

With this project we were commissioned to design and manufacture & install a swimming pool roof make using glulam feature trusses supported on a steel frame.

Challenges

- To make something ethically pleasing yet functional.

- Keeping the products clean and dry thought out the construction process to ensure i high quality finish the the external faces

- Construction requires skilled labour as the trusses are formed using hand tools not cut and pressed like a standard trussed rafters

- Customer made plates and bearings required.

The end Resuilt

Using Glulam trusses we were able to centre the trusses at much greater centres then traditional roof trusses and the glulam lends it self perfectly to being sanded and varnished give the feature trusses a finish second to non.
